The Stanley Filters™ for downhole pumps are not a screen, but rather a fiberglass three dimensional media material which allows the fluid to travel into the filter from all directions. The unique design also allows abrasives to penetrate and be contained in the filter media, while fluids travels around those abrasives. The Stanley Filter™ works like the formation of an oil zone. If the particles you are filtering have permeability, then the oil will travel through the same abrasives that are trapped in the filter.
Application:
The screen can be ran as a stand-alone filter, as a gravel pack, or in a steel outer case. In a Stand-Alone application the screen is attached to the bottom of the seating nipple. Dip Tubes and Mud Anchors are not required.

* Filter length is determined multiplying 2′ of filter length for every foot of pump stroke. ** Filter length is determined multiplying 3′ of filter length for every foot of pump stroke. Heavy loads of sand may require more filter length. |
